Mission
Our mission is to raise the standards of dance education and entertainment emphasizing the joy of movement. Classes include ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and tap.

Featuring
Since 1973, over 70,000 school children have seen ADC ballet company productions as part of the ADC Partners in the Arts funding program. Former company members are now dancing or teaching throughout the world. Many students have secured dance degrees from prominent universities including Butler University, Iowa State University, Northern Illinois University and Colorado State University. The ADC has received Congressional recognition Awards and artistic honors from the Illinois Arts Council and Office of the Governor.

Students call the American Dance Center their second home. It is a positive friendly environment nurturing each individual. Styles of dance include ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. Age appropriate material is presented to pre-dance to advanced levels. Professional teachers work together on a unified curriculum emphasizing the joy of movement. Students perform in an informal studio showcase at the end of each semester. Every other year, a major student showcase is presented. In 2004, over 7,000 people attended. Advanced dancers will represent the State of Illinois at the Dance Excellence, International Dance Festival, Hollywood California, March 2005.
