Welcome

The Chicago Southland Arts Alliance (CSAA) is an alliance of not-for-profit arts organizations and artists in the Chicago Southland. The Alliance's primary goals are to:

  • Promote the activities and excellence of professional and civic arts organizations as well as individual artists

  • Provide easy access to the arts by informing about arts events throughout the Chicago Southland area

  • Develop the visibility of arts organizations and artists within and beyond the region

  • Be a resource for educators and interested community members seeking to incorporate arts programs with their schools

The CSAA seeks to increase awareness of the arts by working with government, business, regional development agencies and educational institutions. The CSAA believes that such collaborations will help define the unique characteristics of the Chicago Southland region by:

  • Promoting the visibility of the Chicago Southland as a culturally vibrant region

  • Supporting regional development by emphasizing the quality of life in the Chicago Southland

  • Serving as a collaborative agency between arts organizations and the regional governments to demonstrate that the Southland is one of the Chicago metro region's most dynamic areas of growth

  • Uniting arts organizations and artists that provide educational services with the purpose of increasing participation in the arts by people of all ages
